Dam Linh Nguyen is an economist working in empirical industrial organization and applied microeconomics, with research focused on how markets function and respond to policy and technological change. His work combines econometric and data-driven methods to study topics including eviction and housing instability, consumer search and matching, technology adoption, and firm competition, with an emphasis on using large-scale data to understand demand, strategic behavior, and welfare outcomes in real-world markets.

He holds a PhD in Economics from New York University and a BSc in Applied Mathematics from Columbia University. He has experience spanning both industry and research, including roles at Amazon, where he worked on demand modeling and product assortment for retail decision-making, and at NERA Economic Consulting, where he contributed to antitrust and merger analysis for large, multi-billion-dollar transactions.
